This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Assist in field inspections and oversight of highway projects in collaboration with the Construction Services team across the Florida Panhandle.
• Evaluate highway and transportation construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Record daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
• Prepare for and support preconstruction, progress, and conflict resolution meetings.
• Negotiate and draft construction change orders.
• Engage and communicate with clients, contractors, and SEH personnel.
• Take part in office production tasks using AutoCAD or MicroStation when qualified.
• Assist in developing proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and conducting constructability reviews.
• Candidates must be located near Tallahassee, Panama City, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Myers, Florida, or nearby areas.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Significant experience in the construction field as a Construction Project Representative or in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Capability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain associated with construction sites.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Construction Project Representative on FDOT, County, and/or Municipal construction projects encompassing earthwork, concrete and bituminous paving, site improvements, and street/utility construction.
• Prior experience and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Possession of relevant FDOT Technical Certifications or the ability to obtain them within six (6) months of employment.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets SEH’s Driving Program requirements, verified through an MVR records check.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
