Construction Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Manage and coordinate telecommunication construction projects from inception to completion.

• Create scopes of work, align schedules, assign responsibilities, and provide updates on project progress.

• Choose and supervise contractors for projects, major upgrades, and telecommunication construction efforts.

• Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality standards, scopes of work, and technical specifications.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, internal teams, and other stakeholders during the initial planning phase.

• Create comprehensive descriptions of job roles and required materials.

• Schedule and coordinate project timelines while budgeting sufficient time to meet deadlines.

• Prepare and submit budget estimates, communicating budget status and expenses to stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to the budget and make adjustments through change management and approval processes.

• Plan, coordinate, organize, oversee, and direct construction and maintenance activities effectively.

• Ensure that jobsite safety standards, guidelines, and codes are strictly followed.

• Oversee negotiations, revisions, and change orders with contractors and subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.

• Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, and contractors to address work procedures, complaints, and construction challenges.

• Lead necessary actions in response to delays, inclement weather, or emergencies at construction sites.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.

• Carry out additional directives as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of telecommunication contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office 360.

• Ability to stay flexible and efficient in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Capability to make informed and swift decisions while performing well under pressure and in the face of unforeseen events or delays.

• Competence in multitasking while analyzing and resolving issues effectively.

• Exceptional telephone etiquette and a high level of professionalism.

• Energetic, positive, outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• At least five years of experience in telecommunication construction project management.

• A minimum of three years of telecommunication project management experience in single-family homes is preferred.

• Construction Manager certification from the American Institute of Constructors or Construction Management Association of America is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering is preferred.

• PMP designation and/or PMI certifications or equivalent are preferred.

• BICSI or equivalent certifications are preferred.

• Industry-recognized WiFi/WLAN training and certifications are desirable.

• Must be able to navigate and inspect all areas of the jobsite in various weather conditions.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time is required.

• Exposure to typical construction site hazards is expected.

• Must be available to address delays, emergencies, inclement weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
