This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead and oversee new construction and installation projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
• Manage the coordination and alignment of construction and installation initiatives with overall project objectives.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to uphold quality standards during groundwork processes.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams on estimates, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Conduct site visits for bid walks, preconstruction assessments, in-progress evaluations, installation and commissioning, punch walks, and project closeouts.
• Participate in status, coordination, and “Project with Issues” meetings.
• Execute and document quality assurance and safety inspections.
• Maintain and revise statements of work and preconstruction documentation as necessary.
• Build and nurture relationships with dependable contractors and vendors.
• Address delays, emergencies, and other disruptions affecting project timelines.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project management, contractors, and external vendors.
• Communicate, monitor, and manage onsite change orders effectively.
• Track project scope, scheduling, costs, budgetary goals, and constraints.
• Request and obtain pricing for external bids related to active customer orders and quotations.
• Assist in maintaining supplier and contractor rosters, best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the customer liaison and help identify root causes and lessons learned from projects with issues.
• Maintain weekly communications with production, engineering, and sales teams.
• Troubleshoot issues, make independent decisions, and document safety concerns as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with ISO objectives, policies, procedures, legal regulations, building codes, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments to enhance project outcomes.
• Engage in hands-on work at company projects and job sites, including climbing ladders, crawling under structures, and operating in challenging conditions.
• Address customer inquiries and enhance technical knowledge as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in managing new construction and equipment installation projects.
• Familiarity with construction methods and technologies is essential.
• Knowledge of metalworking, fabrication, power transmissions, mechanical equipment, electrical controls, and/or programming is advantageous.
• Understanding of business P&L practices and responsibilities is necessary.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, including AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, or similar software tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities are crucial.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel 70% to 80% of the time is required.
• A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are mandatory.
• A background check will be conducted during the hiring process.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the MS Office Suite is required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is an asset.
• Professional certifications such as CCM, AC, or CPC are advantageous.
• Willingness and physical capability to work on equipment and in demanding job site conditions are essential.
• Ability to comprehend basic business concepts and effectively respond to customer requests is important.
