This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct construction observation and inspections on transportation projects across Indiana.
• Report directly to the Project Supervisor or Resident Project Representative.
• Engage with clients, contractors, officials, and the public during meetings and other communications.
• Document construction progress through daily reports, status updates, and various data reporting.
• Execute and oversee field monitoring for multi-site and multi-phase construction endeavors.
• Supervise concrete placement, earthwork, roadway paving, buildings, structures, foundations, and building materials.
• Create and validate reports and documentation concerning construction, materials, integration, equipment, and operations.
• Support Task Managers and Project Managers with the technical elements of projects.
• Coordinate with relevant individuals and practices, employing formal strategic and persuasive communication.
• Provide ongoing mentorship to senior staff members.
• Over 12 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Familiarity with transportation construction and quality control standards.
• Understanding of specifications, standards, and inspection requirements from the Indiana Department of Transportation, Indianapolis Department of Public Works, or other governmental agencies.
• Capability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and technical documents.
• Experience in inspecting contractor work and documenting project progress and quality.
• Proficiency in measuring and calculating material quantities.
• Competence in performing material testing.
• INDOT certified technician.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift heavy testing equipment and material samples.
• Capability to walk on uneven terrain and navigate steps, stairs, and ladders.
• Ability to work in hazardous environments while using necessary personal protective equipment.
