Construction Information Specialist, Midwest-South

📋 Description

• Drive strategic outreach via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions to obtain high-value, confidential commercial construction project intelligence.

• Articulate the benefits of Dodge’s data network and project information sharing to potential sources.

• Showcase Dodge tools and data capabilities, including Dodge One.

• Build and nurture relationships with essential and hard-to-reach contractors, subcontractors, owners, architects, and public agencies.

• Conduct site visits, attend industry events, and participate in association meetings to enhance intelligence pipelines.

• Identify, assess, and cultivate new project sources within the designated territory.

• Analyze and interpret construction documents, client communications, and project information.

• Convert validated project insights into Dodge systems.

• Manage and maintain project data utilizing internal tools and systems.

• Investigate and resolve complex or ambiguous data discrepancies and document verification processes.

• Identify trends in data quality and root causes, propose solutions, and relay insights to stakeholders.

• Recognize trends at the territory level, sourcing opportunities, and conversion rates, and deliver strategic insights.

• Provide insights on source behavior, project trends, and workflow challenges.

• Balance productivity, quality, and strategic priorities in a metrics-driven environment.

• Collaborate with Account Management and Customer Success teams on significant client inquiries.

• Develop, enhance, and disseminate best practices for outreach, source development, and intelligence gathering.


⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Should not currently or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience showcasing advanced proficiency in outreach, data collection, and knowledge of the commercial construction industry.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in outreach, research, customer engagement, or data operations roles.

• At least 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.

• Extensive knowledge of the construction ecosystem, including contractors, owners, architects, subcontractors, project lifecycle, and bid and award processes.

• Proficient in data analysis, identifying patterns and trends, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions.

• Capable of analyzing territory and source funnel data and conversion rates, and presenting findings to leadership.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and convey complex findings effectively.

• Skilled in customizing value-proposition messaging and addressing objections using consultative, value-selling techniques.

• Capable of independently conducting in-person engagements, including site visits, industry events, and association meetings.

• Proficient in demonstrating Dodge tools and data capabilities, including Dodge One.

• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Ability to learn and apply Dodge tools and systems effectively.

• Familiarity with construction project data, plan rooms, or bid management platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of active markets in the assigned territory and relevant industry relationships is preferred.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction project phases, bid and award processes, and multi-stakeholder project structures is preferred.

• Experience in a performance-driven environment is preferred.

• A background check will be required after a conditional job offer.
