This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
β’ Examine architectural and structural blueprints.
β’ Create accurate material takeoffs and competitive cost estimates for light-gauge/structural steel framing and wood framing packages.
β’ Develop drawings based on provided plans and sketches.
β’ Execute component-based material take-offs from prepared shop drawings.
β’ Oversee the daily workflow and output of the department.
β’ Prioritize tasks and allocate projects effectively.
β’ Estimate project duration and budget based on necessary materials and resources.
β’ Maintain a system for standard or recurring projects.
β’ Ensure completed projects meet customer and project specifications.
β’ Carry out additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Proficient English skills: upper intermediate, advanced, or proficient level.
β’ Strong and demonstrable background in engineering or architecture with relevant experience.
β’ Minimum of 2 years in construction estimating.
β’ Practical knowledge of wood and steel framing systems.
β’ Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Countfire, etc.
β’ Capability to perform drafting, layout work, straightforward calculations, take-offs, and budgeting in relation to construction details.
β’ Competence in preparing drawings from provided plans and sketches.
β’ Ability to conduct component-based material take-offs from prepared shop drawings.
β’ Professional demeanor and adherence to ethical standards.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Proficient in communicating and relaying information among expert teams.
β’ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
β’ Ability to identify, set, and delegate priorities.
β’ Capability to follow directives or specific instructions as needed.
β’ Familiarity with PlanSwift or similar software is advantageous.
β’ Ability to manage the daily workflow and output of the department, prioritizing and assigning projects.
β’ Proficiency in estimating project time and budget requirements based on necessary materials and resources.
β’ Ability to maintain a system for standard or recurring projects.
β’ Capacity to ensure that completed projects align with customer and project requirements.
β’ Comfort with Hubstaff time tracking software.
β’ Access to a personal computer (laptop/desktop) with internet connectivity.
β’ Ability to provide a 1.5β2 minute voice note in English.
β’ U.S. citizenship or a U.S. work permit is required for eligibility.
