This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.
• Collect field data, photographs, as-built information, and installation specifics for warranty claim assessments
• Record and categorize potential design, manufacturing, or installation issues for engineering evaluation
• Assist in the implementation of GPS-enabled pile driving, drone-based surveys, machine-control datasets, and various construction technologies
• Create and manage engineering datasets and help with drone operations, data collection, and uploads
• Facilitate the flow of engineering information, including drawing updates, clarifications, consultant feedback, and RFIs
• Oversee engineering document control systems, drawing sets, data room folders, submittals, and version tracking
• Engage in constructability reviews and owner/IE feedback cycles
• Track engineering deliverable deadlines and contribute to mitigation strategies
• Organize pre-construction pile load testing, encompassing drill-rig scheduling, field logistics, and test preparation
• Document, monitor, organize, and relay pile test methodologies and outcomes
• Perform drawing comparisons, quantity verifications, plan-set evaluations, site visits, and field inspections
• Identify and escalate engineering risks while aiding in the development of SOPs, workflows, databases, and lessons-learned documentation
• Cultivate professional relationships with project managers, superintendents, field engineers, consultants, and internal engineering teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or a closely related technical discipline (preferred)
• 0–3 years of pertinent experience
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred or a willingness to pursue such certification
• Strong ability to read and interpret civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical engineering drawings
• Basic understanding of construction processes, testing methods such as pile load testing, and engineering documentation
• Excellent organizational, documentation, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Capability to conduct fieldwork, which includes traversing construction sites, gathering data, observing installation techniques, and participating in testing activities
• Eagerness to learn and support drone-based surveys, GPS-enabled machinery, and digital field data systems
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
