Construction Defect Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee litigation cases related to latent and patent construction defects, property damage, and real estate claims throughout California state courts.

• Prepare pleadings, law-and-motion documents, discovery materials, and briefs for mediation.

• Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, geotechnical specialists, and contractors to assess building defects and determine liability.

• Conduct and defend depositions involving property owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and technical experts.

• Participate in site inspections, court hearings, arbitrations, mandatory settlement conferences, mediations, and trials.

• Leverage AI-driven software and digital technology tools to enhance document analysis, evidence organization, and legal research.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be an active member of the State Bar of California.

• At least 2 years of experience in general civil litigation.

• Experience with construction defect cases is advantageous.

• First-chair trial experience is highly desirable.

• Candidates must currently reside in California.

• A quiet, dedicated home office is required for virtual court hearings and remote depositions.

• A keen interest in utilizing AI legal tools and contemporary law firm technologies to enhance legal processes is essential.
