This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Independently investigate and oversee a complete caseload of Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims.
• Facilitate timely resolution of claims through proactive file management, strategic planning, and adherence to established best practices.
• Analyze intricate policy language, including insuring agreements and endorsements.
• Conduct thorough liability investigations and assess the severity of injuries.
• Manage litigated cases and offer strategic direction on litigation plans.
• Negotiate settlements within granted authority.
• Maintain proactive and professional communication with insured parties, claimants, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to relevant state regulations and client service instructions.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling commercial general liability claims is required.
• Adjuster licensing as mandated by the jurisdiction(s) managed.
• Strong comprehension of CGL coverage, policy interpretation, and jurisdictional variations.
• Experience in managing litigated claims and collaborating with defense counsel.
• Knowledge of construction defects, additional insured coverage, and risk transfer strategies.
• Ability to evaluate liability, damages, and exposure in complex loss situations.
• Proficiency in claims systems and Microsoft Office applications.
