Construction Cost Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert for Autodesk Forma Cost Management and financial workflows in construction.

• Facilitate customer discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, implementations, training, and continuous support.

• Assess current cost-management practices and convert business needs into efficient, scalable technology workflows.

• Set up account- and project-level Cost Management settings, permissions, templates, and standards.

• Assist customers in configuring and enhancing workflows related to budgets, budget codes, cost structures, prime contracts, subcontracts, commitments, purchase orders, potential change orders, change orders, cost items, forecasting, payment applications, actual costs, cash flow, and financial reporting.

• Conduct workflow discovery sessions with project management, operations, accounting, finance, and executive stakeholders.

• Create standardized Cost Management templates, approval processes, permissions, and financial controls.

• Deliver training for administrators and end-users.

• Guide customers transitioning from spreadsheets or other construction financial management platforms to Autodesk Cost Management.

• Collaborate with integration specialists to ensure smooth information exchange between Cost Management and ERP, accounting, or other business systems.

• Work alongside sales teams during technical discovery, demonstrations, and solution validation.

• Assist in validating proposed workflows and configurations before implementation.

• Develop and maintain standards for implementation, documentation, training materials, templates, and best practices.

• Contribute to the ongoing advancement of Topcon Solutions' Cost Management services and implementation methodologies.

• Keep updated on developments in Autodesk Cost Management, integrations, and trends in construction technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional background in the construction sector, especially in project management, construction accounting, project controls, cost engineering, construction technology, or financial systems.

• Strong knowledge of construction financial management and project cost-control processes.

• Experience with Autodesk Forma Cost Management or similar construction financial management software is preferred.

• Familiarity with Procore Financials or comparable construction cost-management platforms is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of construction ERP and accounting systems is highly desirable.

• Experience in implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting business or construction software.

• Ability to comprehend complex financial and operational workflows and convert them into actionable software configurations.

• Experience in training and supporting both administrators and end users.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and customer-facing communication skills.

• Capable of communicating effectively with project teams, accounting and finance professionals, executives, and technical stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities at the same time.

• Occasional business travel may be necessary.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
