This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical subject matter expert and primary point of escalation for connectivity technologies, architectures, and integration methodologies.

• Develop and implement machine connectivity strategies across factories in collaboration with Digital Technologies, Cybersecurity, PMO, and Operations.

• Take ownership of and enhance enterprise strategies for connecting automation assets utilizing Banner hardware, Kepware/Kepserver, industrial protocols, and Industry 4.0 techniques.

• Facilitate the deployment, upkeep, and site adoption of Connected Equipment capabilities.

• Carry out tactical and operational plans for designated product lines.

• Oversee deployments across various factories and expedite solution delivery.

• Collaborate with manufacturing sites, Digital Technologies, Cybersecurity, Operations, and Engineering to eliminate obstacles.

• Articulate technical concepts, limitations, policies, and recommended actions to influence cross-functional decision-making.

• Provide mentorship and technical support to factory automation focal points.

• Address connectivity issues related to robotic cells, PLC/HMI architectures, SCADA systems, machine vision, and legacy automation equipment.

• Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure teams to integrate diverse systems into enterprise environments.

• Identify potential to standardize networks, data paths, hardware, and interfaces.

• Contribute to, document, and refine enterprise standards for automation and factory connectivity.

• Suggest enhancements to connectivity hardware, architectures, and installation techniques.

• Promote the adoption of secure and scalable connectivity practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.

• U.S. citizenship is a requirement.

• Proven experience in connecting automated machinery for data collection, which includes robotics, controls, machine vision, or industrial automation.

• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 40% of the time.

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• A STEM degree is preferred.

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing settings is preferred.

• Familiarity with PLCs, industrial networking, SCADA/IIoT connectivity, cybersecurity constraints, and enterprise IT infrastructure is preferred.

• Experience with Kepware/Kepserver, Banner hardware, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, MQTT, or similar technologies is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, industrial sensors, or machine vision systems is preferred.

• Ability to independently manage complex projects and influence stakeholders across multiple departments is preferred.
