This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and administrative personnel utilizing both internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, assess, analyze, and uphold conflict and new matter data in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Evaluate workflow requests to ensure that submissions include essential information for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to uncover relationships and potential conflicts.
• Examine conflicts reports for precision and completeness, assess potential issues, and resolve conflicts when suitable.
• Escalate unresolved or significant matters and follow up with attorneys and management as needed.
• Review and process new client and matter intake documentation prior to initiation.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm personnel.
• Collaborate with team members and meet deadlines to guarantee timely processing of requests.
• Be available for periodic after-hours/weekend on-call shifts as directed by the General Counsel's Office.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least three years of conflicts experience in the legal sector is preferred.
• A J.D. is an advantage.
• Previous familiarity with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
• Exceptional understanding of legal conflicts and associated ethical standards.
• Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and completing them within time constraints.
• Ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision, adhering to established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
• Willingness to seek and accept guidance while taking ownership of and resolving issues.
• Commitment to skill enhancement and continuous improvement of work quality.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues across all levels.
• Demonstrated customer-service focus and professionalism in a legal or professional-services setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computer, research, and proofreading capabilities.
