This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform conflict of interest investigations for attorneys and administrative staff utilizing internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, assess, analyze, and uphold conflict and new matter data in alignment with firm policies and procedures.
• Examine workflow requests to ensure that submissions include essential information for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to uncover relationships and potential conflicts.
• Scrutinize conflicts reports for precision and completeness, assess potential issues, and resolve conflicts when necessary.
• Elevate unresolved or significant concerns and follow up with attorneys and management.
• Review and process new client and matter intake documentation prior to opening.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm personnel.
• Collaborate with team members and adhere to deadlines to guarantee timely processing.
• Participate in periodic after-hours/weekend on-call shifts as determined by the General Counsel’s Office.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• At least three years of conflicts experience within the legal sector is preferred.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) is advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of legal conflicts and associated ethical guidelines.
• Sound judgment and discretion in managing confidential information.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational skills accompanied by meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet time constraints.
• Ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision while adhering to established timeframes and ongoing deadlines.
• Willingness to seek and accept guidance while taking ownership of and addressing issues.
• Dedication to skill development and continual enhancement of work-product quality.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues across all levels.
• Proven customer-service orientation and professionalism in a legal or professional services setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computer, research, and proofreading capabilities.
• Previous experience with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
