This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and administrative personnel utilizing internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, review, analyze, and manage conflict and new matter data in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Examine workflow requests and ensure submissions include essential information for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to determine relationships and potential conflicts.
• Assess conflicts reports for accuracy and completeness, identify potential issues, and resolve conflicts when necessary.
• Elevate unresolved or significant matters and maintain communication with attorneys and management.
• Review and manage new client and matter intake documentation prior to initiation.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm staff.
• Collaborate with team members to guarantee timely processing and adherence to deadlines.
• Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend on-call shifts as directed by the General Counsel's Office.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of three years of conflicts experience in the legal sector is preferred.
• A J.D. is considered an asset.
• Previous experience with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of legal conflicts and associated ethical guidelines.
• Strong judgment and discretion when managing confidential information.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within time constraints.
• Capacity to perform effectively with moderate supervision while adhering to established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
• Willingness to seek and accept guidance while taking ownership of and resolving issues.
• Commitment to skill development and continuous enhancement of work quality.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues across all levels.
• Proven customer service orientation and professionalism in a legal or professional services setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computer, research, and proofreading capabilities.
