This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Perform conflict of interest investigations for attorneys and administrative personnel utilizing internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, assess, analyze, and manage conflict and new matter information in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Evaluate workflow requests to ensure that submissions include essential information for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to uncover relationships and potential conflicts.
• Examine conflicts reports for accuracy and thoroughness, assess potential issues, and resolve conflicts when applicable.
• Elevate unresolved or significant matters and follow up with attorneys and management as needed.
• Review and handle new client and matter intake documentation prior to commencement.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm staff.
• Collaborate with team members and adhere to deadlines for prompt processing.
• Take on periodic after-hours/weekend on-call responsibilities at the discretion of the General Counsel's Office.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in conflicts within the legal sector is preferred.
• A J.D. is advantageous.
• Previous experience with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of legal conflicts and associated ethical regulations.
• Good judgment and discretion when managing confidential information.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to complete them under time constraints.
• Ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision while adhering to established time limits and deadlines.
• Willingness to seek and accept guidance while taking ownership of and resolving issues.
• Commitment to ongoing skill enhancement and the consistent improvement of work quality.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capacity to work collaboratively and professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues across all levels.
• Proven customer service orientation and professionalism in a legal or professional services context.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computer, research, and proofreading skills.
