This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and administrative staff utilizing internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, review, analyze, and maintain conflict and new matter information in compliance with firm policies and procedures.
• Assess workflow requests and confirm that submissions include essential information for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to uncover relationships and potential conflicts.
• Examine conflicts reports for accuracy and completeness, assess potential issues, and resolve conflicts as necessary.
• Escalate unresolved or significant concerns and follow up with attorneys and management.
• Review and process new client and matter intake documents prior to opening.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines for prompt request processing.
• Participate in periodic after-hours/weekend on-call shifts as directed by the General Counsel's Office.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• At least three years of conflicts experience in the legal sector is preferred.
• A J.D. is an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of legal conflicts and associated ethical regulations.
• Sound judgment and discretion in managing confidential information.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to perform effectively with moderate supervision while adhering to established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
• Willingness to seek and accept guidance while taking ownership of and resolving issues.
• Dedication to skill advancement and continual improvement of work quality.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues across all levels.
• Proven focus on customer service and professionalism in a legal or professional services setting.
• Prior experience with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computing, research, and proofreading capabilities.
