This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and administrative personnel utilizing internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, review, analyze, and sustain conflict and new matter data in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Assess workflow requests and submissions to guarantee essential information is present for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to uncover relationships and potential conflicts.
• Examine conflict reports for precision and thoroughness, assess potential issues, and resolve conflicts when suitable.
• Escalate unresolved or significant matters and follow up with attorneys and management.
• Review and process new client and matter intake documentation prior to opening.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure prompt processing and meet deadlines.
• Participate in periodic after-hours/weekend on-call shifts as determined by the General Counsel's Office.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• At least three years of conflicts experience in the legal sector is preferred.
• A J.D. is considered an advantage.
• Prior experience with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of legal conflicts and associated ethical regulations.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion when managing confidential information.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within time constraints.
• Proficient in functioning effectively with moderate supervision and adhering to established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
• Willingness to seek and accept guidance while taking ownership of and resolving issues.
• Commitment to skill development and consistent enhancement of work quality.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues at all levels.
• Proven customer service orientation and professionalism in a legal or professional services setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computer, research, and proofreading capabilities.
