This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and administrative personnel utilizing both internal systems and external research databases.
• Input, review, analyze, and uphold conflict and new matter data in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures.
• Assess workflow requests and submissions to ensure essential information is present for processing.
• Investigate individual and corporate entities to uncover relationships and identify potential conflicts.
• Evaluate conflicts reports for accuracy and completeness, assess potential issues, and resolve conflicts when appropriate.
• Elevate unresolved or significant matters and follow up with attorneys and management.
• Review and process new client and matter intake documentation prior to initiation.
• Address conflict check inquiries and offer system and status support to firm personnel.
• Collaborate with team members and adhere to deadlines for prompt request processing.
• Cover after-hours/weekend on-call shifts as needed, at the discretion of the General Counsel's Office.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of three years of conflict experience in the legal sector is preferred.
• A J.D. is an advantage.
• Prior experience with Aderant and/or Intapp is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of legal conflicts and associated ethical regulations.
• Sound judgment and discretion in managing confidential information.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within time constraints.
• Capacity to perform effectively with moderate supervision while adhering to established deadlines.
• Willingness to seek direction and accept feedback while taking ownership of and resolving issues.
• Commitment to skill development and continuous enhancement of work quality.
• Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with attorneys, staff, and colleagues at all levels.
• Proven customer service orientation and professionalism in a legal or professional services setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Strong computer, research, and proofreading capabilities.
