Compliance Nurse 2 – LTC Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site evaluations of long-term care facilities to assess adherence to state and federal regulations.

• Record survey results utilizing both automated systems and written documentation processes.

• Analyze the quality of nursing care provided in nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities.

• Assess intricate medical scenarios and create survey documentation within strict timelines.

• Lead, strategize, organize, and oversee nursing operations in designated facilities.

• Examine policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and quality enhancement initiatives.

• Organize surveys based on facility services, size, and compliance history.

• Collect compliance information through interviews, observations, environmental assessments, equipment inspections, and record evaluations.

• Generate reports detailing findings and deficiencies, supported by relevant evidence.

• Suggest adverse actions when necessary and inform facilities of the results.

• Review and supervise facility Plans of Correction.

• Modify survey focus in response to client needs, complaints, and new findings.

• Coordinate efforts with relevant agencies.

• Offer training and support to newly hired surveyors.

• Stay updated on federal and state long-term care regulations.

• May act as a team lead worker.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including two (2) years in an administrative or supervisory role, along with a current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or equivalent position, with two (2) years in a related environment, four (4) years in a supervisory capacity, and a valid Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.

• Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license.

• Ability to utilize a car for work purposes.

• Willingness to travel extensively statewide and overnight, up to 90% of the time.

• Occasional work during weekends and after hours may be necessary.

• Successful completion of preparatory training and the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within the first 12 months of employment.

• Capability to inspect long-term care facilities and evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Proficiency in preparing survey documents and reports within tight deadlines.

• Ability to review medical records, regulatory standards, facility procedures, and equipment effectively.

• Skill in conducting interviews, observations, inspections, and gathering data.
