This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance and support Rula's Compliance program.
• Report directly to the Director of Compliance.
• Address the organization's daily compliance requirements.
• Offer compliance advisory assistance to business stakeholders.
• Conduct compliance investigations independently.
• Aid in auditing and monitoring processes.
• Promote governance and development of policies.
• Convert regulations into actionable guidance that balances risk and business objectives.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and Legal on compliance issues and risks.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Over 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, covering policy development, regulatory interpretation, and program implementation.
• At least 3 years of experience in conducting or assisting with compliance reviews and investigations.
• Proven experience in collaborating with business and key stakeholders, including Legal, on compliance issues and risks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are clear and concise.
• Familiarity with interpreting and applying healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, CMS guidance, OIG compliance program guidance, and relevant federal and state healthcare laws.
• A Master's Degree and/or Juris Doctor or equivalent advanced training in healthcare law, compliance, or public health is preferred.
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in telehealth, privacy, and/or behavioral health compliance.
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Certification in general healthcare compliance is preferred.
• Experience with Zendesk, Salesforce, EHR platforms, AI tools, and reporting/data platforms is preferred.
• Candidate must reside in the United States; Rula does not currently hire in Hawaii.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States at present.
