Compliance Director, Advanced Wound Management

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and guidance on Compliance issues to the Advanced Wound Management Business Unit in the USA.

• Ensure the business unit is equipped with suitable action plans to tackle significant Compliance risks.

• Report directly to the VP of Compliance & Privacy in the USA.

• Lead the implementation of the Global Compliance Program within the AWM Business Unit in the USA.

• Formulate strategies and action plans that address risks specific to the market and business unit.

• Propel the completion of risk mitigation strategies and assess the effectiveness of actions taken to reduce market risk.

• Monitor developments in the market, region, and globally while conducting benchmarking.

• Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate, establish, and oversee the Compliance Culture within the business unit.

• Develop and spearhead the implementation of policies and procedures for compliance activities tailored to the market.

• Drive the local execution of enhancements to the global compliance program and contribute insights on potential improvements.

• Establish effective local Compliance Training and Communication programs.

• Design and execute risk-based local monitoring programs.

• Assist the Global Compliance Audit and Internal Audit teams with monitoring and auditing processes.

• Manage Third Party Seller and non-seller third party compliance initiatives.

• Conduct Third Party Risk Assessments and site evaluations.

• Collaborate with business teams on third party strategies and risk mitigation plans.

• Represent Compliance in leadership meetings.

• Ensure that appropriate and uniform corrective actions are taken for compliance issues.

• Monitor and report on Compliance KPIs and implement action plans to address performance deficiencies.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of advanced healthcare compliance experience, with progressively increasing responsibilities in implementing and managing a compliance program within a complex US healthcare environment.

• Relevant industry experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, pharmacy-related business models, biologics or tissue-based products, and technology-enabled healthcare solutions.

• Proven expertise in US laws and regulations governing interactions with healthcare professionals and organizations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and relevant industry codes.

• Legal background is highly preferred, including a law degree or significant experience in interpreting and applying US healthcare laws and regulations in a compliance capacity.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong capability to articulate complex topics in clear and concise terms.

• Proven ability to lead change and influence within a matrix organization.

• Ability to write concisely and persuasively, drafting clear and effective reports and policies.

• Self-motivated and results-oriented.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Ability to work across cultures and engage effectively with all organizational levels and various functions.
