This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Assist in the development, execution, and continuous management of the company’s compensation programs and infrastructure.
• Perform market compensation analysis and benchmark both new and existing roles using industry, geographic, and labor-market data.
• Create and maintain salary bands, job levels, compensation frameworks, and job architecture.
• Assess roles and provide recommendations for suitable classification and compensation.
• Collaborate with HR and departmental leadership to develop, review, and maintain job descriptions.
• Analyze internal pay relationships, compression, equity, market alignment, and consistency in compensation.
• Conduct geographic compensation assessments across various states and manufacturing sites.
• Prepare recommendations for new hires, promotions, market adjustments, equity modifications, reclassifications, and other compensation changes.
• Oversee the annual merit and compensation review process, including modeling, coordination, recommendation analysis, exception identification, and evaluation of financial impacts.
• Examine compensation trends and generate reports, models, and recommendations for the HR Director and President.
• Collaborate with Finance and Payroll on compensation budgeting, workforce planning, and implementation of approved modifications.
• Assess shift differentials, premiums, incentive programs, and other components of compensation.
• Maintain compensation data, methodologies, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with compensation-related requirements and uphold confidentiality regarding employee compensation information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, HR analytics, or a related area, including practical compensation analysis.
• Solid understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws and employment requirements related to compensation.
• Experience with market pricing, compensation benchmarking, salary ranges, job evaluation, and internal equity assessments.
• Proven track record in developing and writing job descriptions and analyzing roles based on responsibilities, scope, qualifications, and organizational level.
• Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Familiarity with market pricing tools such as ERI, Payscale, or compensation platforms.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage sensitive compensation information with the necessary confidentiality.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, expanding organization.
• Willingness to travel to the company’s corporate office in Reno, Nevada, approximately once per quarter, with additional travel as business needs arise.
• Preferred: Over 5 years of experience in compensation or total rewards.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting compensation programs in manufacturing, industrial, technology, or other rapidly growing sectors with both hourly and salaried employees.
• Preferred: Experience in developing or enhancing job architecture, job families, career levels, salary structures, and geographic compensation practices.
• Preferred: Familiarity with compensation survey platforms, HRIS systems, compensation modeling, and annual merit or compensation review processes.
• Preferred: CCP, SHRM, or other relevant compensation or HR certification.
• Employee must establish and maintain a dedicated, safe, confidential, and ergonomic workspace at home if working remotely.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Proficient in using a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment for remote work.
