This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Deliver information and referral services along with crisis intervention support via phone and electronic means to the public and community professionals around the clock, 7 days a week.
• Conduct interviews with clients and perform comprehensive assessments of their needs.
• Identify suitable resources for clients.
• Assist clients in executing referrals and connecting them with other agencies when necessary.
• Advocate for inquirers when needed to facilitate contact with and utilization of resources.
• Perform follow-up actions to ensure the needs of inquirers are satisfactorily met.
• Employ crisis management techniques in line with agency protocols.
• Keep complete and precise documentation.
• Stay updated with ongoing training requirements for both services offered.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives as directed by the management team.
• Actively engage in agency programs and events.
• Support operations during emergencies as specified by agency policy.
• Maintain current knowledge of agency processes, policies, and procedures.
• Work two days a week on either an 11am–5pm schedule with an additional weekend shift or a 6pm–12am schedule with a weekend shift.
• High school diploma is required.
• Experience in human services is preferred.
• Completion of a 40-hour classroom training session is mandatory (provided by Gryphon Place).
• Availability for at least one weekend day per week is necessary.
• Evening availability is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills are required.
• Proven crisis intervention skills are necessary.
• Understanding of substance abuse and mental health issues is important.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, along with accurate assessment of the inquirer’s needs.
• Capability to work as part of a team in an experiential learning environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution abilities are required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
• Must maintain professional standards while assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with program procedures and the contact center's information system is needed.
• Reliable internet service and a cellular phone are required.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• 40-hour classroom training provided by Gryphon Place.
