This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Deliver information and referral services, along with crisis intervention assistance, to the public and community professionals via phone and electronic means, available 24/7.
β’ Conduct client interviews and perform comprehensive assessments to determine their needs.
β’ Identify suitable resources for clients.
β’ Assist clients in executing referrals and connect them with other agencies when necessary.
β’ Advocate for those seeking help by facilitating their contact with and utilization of resources.
β’ Perform follow-up actions to ensure that the needs of inquirers are adequately addressed.
β’ Apply crisis management techniques in line with agency guidelines.
β’ Maintain thorough and accurate documentation.
β’ Keep up-to-date with ongoing training requirements for both services.
β’ Participate in community outreach initiatives as directed by management.
β’ Engage in agency programs and events.
β’ Provide operational support during disasters as outlined by agency policy.
β’ Stay informed about agency processes, policies, and procedures.
β’ Undertake additional duties as assigned.
β’ High school diploma is required.
β’ Experience in human services is preferred.
β’ Completion of a 40-hour classroom training is mandatory (provided by Gryphon Place).
β’ Availability on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for an 8-hour shift is required.
β’ Must be available for one additional day per week during the second shift, from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
β’ Proficient computer skills are necessary.
β’ Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention is required.
β’ Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health topics is important.
β’ Clear and effective communication, along with accurate assessment of inquirer needs, is expected.
β’ Ability to work as part of a team in an experiential learning environment is necessary.
β’ Competence in problem-solving and conflict resolution is required.
β’ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
β’ Professionalism in assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds is expected.
β’ Familiarity with program procedures and the contact center's information system is required.
β’ Reliable internet service and a cellular phone are mandatory.
β’ Part-time schedule totaling 16 hours.
β’ 40-hour classroom training provided by Gryphon Place.
β’ Fully remote work arrangement available.
