This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and nurture relationships with Indigenous Nations, Housing Managers, leadership, staff, and community partners.
• Comprehend the goals and priorities of Nations and pinpoint effective ways for Community Power to assist them.
• Sustain relationships beyond specific projects to foster trust, knowledge, and momentum.
• Develop connections with government, utility, and other funding and program representatives.
• Keep track of current funding opportunities, requirements, deadlines, and emerging programs.
• Align Nation priorities and project needs with funding pathways, assisting in applications through inquiries, revisions, and funding decisions.
• Discover new and recurring project opportunities through relationships, initiatives, funding programs, outreach, and strategic partnerships.
• Transform initial discussions into well-defined opportunities with clear needs, next steps, responsibilities, and necessary support.
• Take charge of project momentum, explore barriers, create options, engage stakeholders, and ensure closure on tasks.
• Represent Kambo’s Community Power division with Nations, funders, utilities, partners, and industry organizations at conferences, workshops, and public forums.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to create scopes of work, funding strategies, and implementation plans.
• Carry relationships, context, and commitments through to ensure delivery excellence.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining robust external relationships.
• Experience working with Indigenous Nations, organizations, or communities.
• Experience in coordinating complex projects, opportunities, or stakeholder groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in representing an organization externally.
• Familiarity with funding programs, applications, and government or utility programs is highly sought after.
• Background in partnerships, client development, or business development is beneficial.
• Strong digital proficiency and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes.
• Capability to establish relationships with diverse individuals and organizations.
• Ability to keep complex work organized while maintaining momentum and follow-through.
• Good judgment and the capacity to act independently or involve others when necessary.
• Quick learner with the ability to ask insightful questions and navigate ambiguity.
• Drive to enhance knowledge, capacity, and responsibility.
