This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Attend local community events and activities to enhance awareness of Girl Scouts while connecting with families and volunteers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for potential volunteers and families.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives, such as table events, parades, and school open houses.
• Generate leads and support membership growth throughout the council’s service regions.
• Organize and lead recruitment and program activities within the community.
• Collect and submit lead forms, attendance records, and feedback from events.
• Complete follow-ups and reporting after events.
• Drive and operate the Girl Scout mobile-unit box truck safely.
• Transport, set up, dismantle, and maintain the box truck and event equipment properly.
• Represent the organization in a professional manner and exemplify behavior aligned with the mission of Girl Scouting.
• Communicate availability, scheduling preferences, and conflicts; respond to event invitations accordingly.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support the recruitment team's objectives.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of one year’s experience in membership recruitment, sales, or a related field.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Customer-service oriented; able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner across diverse cultures, ages, abilities, genders, and ethnicities.
• Comfortable speaking in public settings.
• Experience in implementing events and activities for youth in diverse communities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing time, prioritizing multiple tasks, and working independently.
• Ability to drive a small box truck or willingness to be trained upon hire.
• Flexible availability, primarily during evenings and weekends.
• Participation in at least two assigned community events each month is required.
• Willingness to subscribe to the Girl Scout philosophy and become a Girl Scout member.
• Travel within the region and reliable transportation is necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle are preferred; applicable automobile insurance and driving record requirements must be met.
• If unable to drive, an approved transportation plan must be submitted prior to an official offer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manually operate office equipment.
• Capability to routinely lift 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
• Full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and good eye-hand coordination.
