This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing community health outcomes through data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and evaluation of community-led interventions.
• Work alongside community health, program implementation, and evaluation teams to promote health equity, community-based solutions, and ongoing quality improvement.
• Conduct follow-up evaluations of community health initiatives.
• Create frameworks to analyze health disparities.
• Contribute to educational programs that raise awareness about health equity.
• Execute analyses related to health equity, population health, and quality landscapes.
• Review and evaluate community advisory panels.
• Assess health needs evaluations and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with a mentor and assist with key strategic projects.
• Fulfill assignments based on business requirements, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
• Undertake both technical and non-technical business-related projects.
• Prepare and present a comprehensive presentation at the conclusion of the internship.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure the protection of member privacy.
• Exhibit integrity while supporting the company's mission, values, Corporate Code of Conduct, and Lifetime Way values.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in a full-time degree program.
• High school diploma.
• Proof of ongoing college enrollment.
• Must maintain good academic standing.
• Pursuing majors or degrees in health, public health, nursing, life sciences, social sciences, business, healthcare administration, data/technology, or related fields.
• Preferred (but not essential) experience with data analysis and public health initiatives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences and personnel at all levels within the company.
• Proficiency in multitasking within a dynamic and fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and build positive working relationships.
• Strong skills in organization, analysis, problem-solving, and prioritization.
• Proactive, innovative, and adaptable approach to task completion.
• Commitment to ongoing skill enhancement and team efficiency.
• Ability to work independently as well as within intra- and inter-departmental teams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using a desktop computer in a professional setting.
• Capacity to sit and/or stand at a workstation while utilizing a computer, keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more consecutive hours.
• Willingness to travel within the Health Plan service area for meetings and/or training as required.
