Commission Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Calculate, adjust, and process sales commissions for a large number of agents.

• Respond to commission inquiries and clarify commission calculations.

• Investigate commission issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to ensure accurate payments.

• Conduct accounting and auditing for commission accounts.

• Manage the commission database, which includes data entry and ongoing maintenance.

• Ensure commissions are paid accurately and on time.

• Keep records and documentation that support audit requirements.

• Perform detailed audits of commission statements.

• Support daily, weekly, and monthly commission processes.

• Clarify payout timing, payout formats, commission percentages, and related information.

• Analyze commission disputes, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile variances.

• Improve existing processes by gaining a deeper understanding of the commission workflow.

• Assist with inquiries regarding 1099 forms and general 1099 preparation.

• Execute other assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; or equivalent analytical experience.

• Previous experience with sales compensation calculations and reporting is advantageous.

• A background in the insurance sector is beneficial.

• Familiarity with compensation software like Varicent, Xactly, or SAP Callidus is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy, along with the ability to manage confidential information discreetly.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Capability to tailor communications to various audiences.

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• High emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptability, flexibility, and a quick learning ability under pressure.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.

• Dependable and consistent attendance for assigned shifts.

• Capability to work full-time and/or part-time according to position requirements.
