This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Review the chain of title for intricate commercial and industrial properties

• Manage assigned files from initiation to completion

• Conduct title examinations on complex commercial orders

• Abstract and assess leases, subleases, acreage, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plot and map books, surveys, and recorded documents

• Identify ownership and legal restrictions, and verify the accuracy of legal descriptions and record completeness

• Generate title products and commitments following procedural guidelines

• Utilize knowledge of commitment Schedules A, B, and C

• Collaborate with agents and underwriting to identify, communicate, and resolve intricate title and curative issues

• Ensure responsive communication and meticulous file management for assigned files

• Review surveys and title documentation, prioritizing significant title issues

• Read, interpret, and map complex legal descriptions

• Serve as a collaborative resource for team members

• Undertake additional duties as assigned


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• At least 2 years of relevant title examination experience

• Required demonstrated experience in commercial title

• Proven background in examining Texas commercial title files

• Candidates residing outside Texas are eligible if they possess substantial Texas-specific commercial title experience

• Ability to independently handle complex commercial files from inception to conclusion

• In-depth knowledge of commercial commitments, including Schedules A, B, and C

• Strong skills in reviewing commercial surveys

• Experience with acreage and interpreting/mapping legal descriptions

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, quality orientation, and problem-solving abilities

• Customer service-oriented with a collaborative, team-first mindset

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with legal terminology used in title documents

• Capability to read and interpret complex legal descriptions related to commercial title orders
