Commercial Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee projects that range from single-property to multi-property commercial transactions.

• Research, analyze, and connect data across various counties and jurisdictions.

• Validate legal property descriptions by reading, interpreting, and plotting relevant information.

• Review and assess leases, subleases, deeds, liens, easements, and other public records.

• Identify ownership and any title-related restrictions.

• Summarize findings and create title commitments and reports.

• Detect and resolve discrepancies or missing information through thorough research and documentation.

• Collaborate with underwriters and internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the title process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in title searching, examining, and writing commitments within the state of Maryland.

• Familiarity with pertinent legal and real estate terminology.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, internet applications, and property data platforms.

• Capability to learn company systems effectively.

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex information and resolve problems independently.

• Highly organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, paperless environment.

• Excellent and professional communication skills with a customer service orientation.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
