This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the marine and maritime sectors, including marine contractors.
• Establish and nurture strong client relationships based on trust, expertise, and outstanding service.
• Evaluate risks and offer customized insurance solutions, which encompass marine liability, property, hull and machinery, P&I, and workers’ compensation.
• Work in partnership with underwriters and carrier associates to present competitive proposals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities while achieving or surpassing sales and revenue objectives.
• Deliver continuous account management and support to ensure client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes pertinent to marine insurance.
• Valid DOI license.
• Over five years of experience in commercial marine insurance.
• More than five years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
• At least five years of experience in business development and prospecting.
• Minimum of five years of experience in sales and negotiation.
• Five years or more of experience in client relationship management.
• Five years of experience in risk assessment and placement.
• Candidates must fulfill applicable state insurance licensing requirements.
• Candidates must not have been disqualified or prohibited from licensure.
• Candidates must not have been barred from engaging in the business of insurance under Title 18 U.S. Code §§1033 and 1034.
