Commercial Kitchen Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and specialized food-service equipment.

• Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

• Establish and maintain relationships with customers.

• Operate independently, manage your own schedule, and address issues without continual oversight.

• Engage in an emergency on-call rotation.

• Travel overnight on occasion.

• Ensure that commercial kitchens remain operational for restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and other establishments.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of one year of technical experience in refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, commercial kitchen equipment, or military service.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

• Willingness to join an emergency on-call rotation, which may include nights and weekends.

• Capability to travel overnight when necessary.

• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

• EPA, CFESA, or other relevant licenses, training, or certifications are preferred.

• Experience in commercial refrigeration or cooking-equipment repair.

• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.

• Physical ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.

• Capability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

• Comfort working around moving equipment, pressurized steam, open flames, hot surfaces, electricity, humid kitchens, and freezing walk-ins.

• Ability to occasionally use ladders and work on rooftops.
