This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Provide innovative solutions aimed at forecasting and mitigating failures in commercial kitchen equipment.
• Collaborate with managers in the restaurant and hospitality sectors to deliver all-encompassing service solutions.
• Service a variety of equipment including commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and specialty foodservice apparatus.
• Exhibit mechanical skills and troubleshoot equipment by utilizing diagrams and schematics.
• Engage in an emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
• Organize and manage your own schedule effectively.
• Occasionally travel overnight as required by assignments.
• Contribute to the success of customers across various sectors including restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and other commercial entities.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one (1) year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or military service is necessary.
• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are mandatory.
• Must be willing and able to participate in an emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required by assignments is essential.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA) are preferred.
• Prior experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair is advantageous.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision is crucial.
• Capability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds is required.
• Must be able to work with moving mechanical components, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and electrical hazards in damp, humid, or freezing environments.
• Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and, in rare instances, in high or precarious locations is necessary.
