Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance and perform equipment inspections.

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, utilizing team support when necessary.

• Cultivate skills to identify mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system challenges.

• Detect equipment issues and propose appropriate repair solutions.

• Verify system functionality post-repair to ensure optimal operation.

• Clearly communicate findings and service requirements to both customers and team members.

• Accurately complete service documentation in a timely manner.

• Uphold a safe, tidy, and professional working environment.

• Travel to client sites within the designated service area.

• Engage in continuous training and implement your acquired knowledge in the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside within approximately 25 miles of Columbus, OH.

• EPA Certification is mandatory.

• Preferred experience in commercial HVAC/R service; candidates with less experience but strong potential for growth will be considered.

• Basic hands-on knowledge of HVAC/R systems and mechanical aptitude.

• A keen desire to enhance diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities.

• Openness to asking questions, accepting guidance, and applying feedback effectively.

• Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and ownership of assigned tasks.

• Capability to manage tasks independently as skills progress.

• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.

• Completion of technical school HVAC/R training or equivalent field experience is preferred.

• Having three or more years of commercial HVAC/R service experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull.

• Capability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to ascend ladders and work at heights.

• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in diverse weather and environmental conditions.
