Commercial Gas Engineer, Plumbing & Heating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance, responses, and repairs for gas heating and plumbing systems.

• Operate across various facilities including care homes, NHS buildings, universities, local councils, sheltered housing, commercial properties, and other locations throughout the North East region.

• Participate in a call-out rotation of 1 week in every 4 weeks.

• Diagnose issues with boilers, water heaters, warm air systems, and additional equipment.

• Complete maintenance and PPM certification documentation using the PDA system.

• Maintain and repair gas plant equipment, plumbing, heating systems, and their components.

• Identify additional work outside of contractual obligations and provide precise quotations.

• Accurately complete work-related documentation in a timely manner.

• Adhere to company protocols, as well as Health & Safety policies and procedures.

• Perform tasks safely and with diligence.

• Attend and engage in training and appraisal sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold commercial gas qualifications and possess relevant experience.

• Be Gas Safe registered.

• Possess CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, and HTR1 qualifications.

• Have a solid understanding of Health & Safety protocols.

• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.

• Exhibit effective communication skills at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

• Generally proficient in IT.

• Maintain a customer-focused approach.

• Have a minimum of 1 year's experience in commercial gas (preferred).

• Experience in care homes or the public sector is desirable.

• Desirable experience in plumbing, air conditioning, or commercial plant fault-finding.

• Possess a good general knowledge of electrical systems (desirable).
