
Commercial Credit Analyst – Equipment Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.
• Underwrite commercial equipment finance transactions by examining financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, credit reports, bank data, collateral, guarantor support, and repayment capabilities.
• Evaluate various financing options including equipment loans, finance leases, capital leases, operating leases, sale-leaseback transactions, vendor finance programs, and other commercial equipment financing arrangements.
• Assess equipment valuations, collateral integrity, advance rates, proposed terms, transaction structures, industry conditions, borrower strength, and concentration risks.
• Identify significant credit risks, policy deviations, documentation issues, and suitable structural or financial mitigations.
• Draft credit memoranda and approval recommendations for new transactions, renewals, amendments, and other credit applications.
• Present transactions and address inquiries from senior credit leadership or the credit committee.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, documentation, asset management, and credit leadership to facilitate the progression of qualified transactions through the approval process.
• Maintain comprehensive and precise credit files, approval conditions, workflow statuses, and supporting documents.
• Monitor assigned transactions for negative trends, emerging risks, missing information, and unresolved approval conditions.
• Promptly communicate credit concerns and exercise independent judgment within established policies and approval guidelines.
• Three to seven years of direct experience in commercial equipment finance underwriting.
• Prior underwriting experience in the equipment finance sector is mandatory; candidates lacking this will not be considered.
• Experience in underwriting commercial equipment loans, leases, or other equipment finance transactions.
• Strong analytical skills in financial statements, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, collateral, and repayment capacity.
• Experience in evaluating equipment valuations, advance rates, transaction terms, guarantor support, and repayment risks.
• Ability to produce clear, precise, and well-supported credit memoranda and underwriting recommendations.
• Familiarity with commercial equipment finance structures, collateral considerations, documentation needs, and credit policies.
• Capability to independently manage multiple transactions and appropriately escalate complex or higher-risk issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, operations, documentation, asset management, and credit partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and commercial credit or portfolio management systems.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States during required business hours.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent direct commercial equipment finance underwriting experience may be taken into consideration.
