Commercial Cooking Equipment Service Technician – Hotside

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on commercial ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, broilers, steamers, and other foodservice equipment.

• Identify issues within gas systems related to ignition systems, burners, gas valves, regulators, thermocouples, and flame-sensing components.

• Troubleshoot electrical systems, encompassing single- and three-phase circuits, heating elements, motors, contactors, relays, thermostats, and electronic controls.

• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals effectively.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and confirm proper equipment function post-repair.

• Adhere to manufacturer protocols and relevant safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and safe gas-handling practices.

• Clearly communicate findings, repair requirements, and equipment status to customers and the service team.

• Accurately document services performed, parts utilized, and follow-up requirements.

• Maintain company tools, service vehicle, and parts inventory.

• Provide service for equipment at customer sites for Horizon Bradco, a company specializing in commercial food equipment repair, sales, and installation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in servicing commercial gas and electric cooking equipment.

• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and proficiency with a multimeter.

• Familiarity with commercial gas systems, combustion, and ignition controls.

• Capability to diagnose equipment failures and execute repairs independently.

• Excellent mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and customer service abilities.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between customer locations.

• Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with field service work, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Experience in servicing cooking equipment within supermarkets, convenience stores, commissaries, or commercial kitchens (preferred).

• Manufacturer training or CFESA certification (preferred).

• Experience with steam equipment and electronic controls (preferred).
