Commercial Construction Foreman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Engage in hands-on tasks including drywall installation, patching, painting, tiling, flooring, light framing, trim work, fixtures, and general finishing activities.

• Demolish current spaces to facilitate new construction.

• Prepare sites for subcontractors specializing in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, tile, and flooring work.

• Get walls ready for mural painting.

• Collaborate on-site with the APS team during the installation of playgrounds and trampoline attractions.

• Oversee work quality and notify the Superintendent of any deviations or shortcuts.

• Assume site coverage when the Superintendent is away for extended periods, with support from the Superintendent, Project Manager, and Director of Construction.

• Safeguard finished work, ensure site cleanliness, and complete punch list tasks.

• Promote safe working practices and ensure all trades adhere to them.

• Collaborate with the Superintendent from an empty leased area to a completed park ready for opening.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel to construction sites linked to ongoing park developments in various markets.

• Experience in multi-trade construction covering drywall, painting, tiling, flooring, light framing, trim, and general finishing work.

• Previous experience as a foreman, lead carpenter, or a proficient journeyman; demonstrated capability is valued more than the job title.

• Ability to work autonomously on-site while maintaining close communication with the Superintendent and MCS team via phone.

• Good judgment regarding what issues to escalate and when.

• Willingness to acquire OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification as mandated by the company.

• Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklift) are preferred, or the willingness to obtain them.

• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.

• Must successfully pass a background check.

• Capable of standing, walking, climbing ladders, and moving for extended durations on an active construction site, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Experience in tenant improvement (TI) within retail or interior build-out is advantageous.

• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is a significant advantage.
