This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Investigate, assess, and resolve intricate commercial auto liability claims that involve excess layers of coverage, catastrophic injuries, multi-vehicle incidents, and high-risk situations.
• Perform in-depth coverage analysis, which includes policy interpretation, endorsements, exclusions, and considerations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare coverage position letters, incorporating reservations of rights and denials, in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Manage litigation by collaborating with defense counsel to evaluate strategies, monitor case progress, and ensure decisions are cost-effective and data-driven.
• Utilize Reserv's AI-powered tools to analyze claim summaries, severity forecasts, and structured data insights to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Assess the handling of primary carriers and identify when excess involvement is necessary, guaranteeing timely and suitable intervention.
• Work in conjunction with MGAs, carriers, brokers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and upholding Reserv’s high-touch, white-glove service standards.
• Record all claim activities within Reserv's advanced claims platform, ensuring data integrity and adherence to both internal and external standards.
• Engage in audits, trend analysis, and feedback loops to support ongoing improvement and contribute to underwriting insights.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• More than 10 years of experience in commercial auto liability or casualty claims, ideally with excess or high-severity cases.
• Strong understanding of coverage analysis, litigation management, and complex liability assessment.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex issues into clear, actionable insights.
• Comfortable operating in a technology-driven environment with modern systems and data-rich workflows.
• Active insurance adjuster's license from a designated home state; home state license is necessary if available.
• Willingness to obtain all required licenses within 60 days, including completing state-mandated testing.
• AIC, CPCU, SCLA, or similar professional designations are preferred.
• A JD degree is also a significant advantage.
• Experience with MGAs, TPAs, or non-admitted/excess & surplus lines is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced claims tools or modern claims platforms is advantageous.
