Commerce Operation Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for all commerce operations, managing everything from order creation and customer payments to sourcing, supplier payments, fulfillment, reconciliation, and exception management.

• Ensure that every transaction aligns with the necessary order, customer payment, supplier payment, or reconciliation activity, maintaining clear ownership and preventing handoff gaps.

• Establish owners, service level agreements (SLAs), handoff protocols, required data, approval and control points, escalation procedures, and ongoing operational processes.

• Identify and eliminate duplicate entries, manual updates, redundant steps, and overly complex spreadsheet workflows; standardize or automate these processes when possible.

• Collaborate with Growth, Finance, Product, and Tech teams to enhance systems and workflow efficiencies.

• Oversee the Conversion operations team, which includes account management, sourcing, and logistics functions.

• Work collaboratively across Product, Tech, GTM, Finance, and other departments to refine the comprehensive operating system.

• Report directly to the Head of Growth while also having a dotted line to the Founder/CEO.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace, or transaction-platform operations.

• Proven hands-on ownership of workflows related to order processing, payment, fulfillment, reconciliation, and exception handling.

• Experience in managing people, which includes leading an operations team, establishing expectations and operational cadence, and fostering accountability.

• A strong operational and systems-oriented mindset; capability to develop clear workflows, controls, SLAs, ownership structures, and scalable operational mechanisms.

• A numbers-driven approach; ability to reconcile amounts, detect missing orders or collections, comprehend margins and payment logic, and identify financial or operational discrepancies.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Professional proficiency in English and Chinese.

• Experience in improving or automating workflows is highly preferred.

• Must reside in the Philippines.

• Legal authorization to work in the Philippines is required.
