Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Manage collection calls and correspondence within a dynamic, goal-focused Collections Department.

• Engage with customers in a metrics-oriented setting.

• Utilize various technologies while maintaining interaction with customers.

• Make a significant number of outgoing calls to designated delinquent customers.

• Address incoming calls and resolve inquiries from customers and branches.

• Communicate and follow up with customers and branch staff effectively.

• Build and sustain productive working relationships with branch personnel and colleagues.

• Resolve customer disputes related to outstanding payment balances.

• Convey information to customers and co-workers both verbally and in writing.

• Achieve portfolio, departmental, and company objectives.

• Execute special projects or tasks as directed by the manager.

• Operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Apply critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Over 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.

• Solid foundation in spreadsheets, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise with the Finance team.

• Capability to work effectively as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Preferably two years of relevant experience in accounts receivable.

• Ability to sit for extended periods working at a desk and on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Employment is subject to a successful background check.
