Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Reach out to delinquent clients located in the US to discuss overdue accounts and enable timely resolution of payments.

• Negotiate and establish payment plans.

• Record customer interactions, commitments, payment agreements, and account activities.

• Investigate and address inquiries related to customer contracts, billing, and payments.

• Implement collections strategies that align with company policies and financial goals.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account-related issues and put preventive measures in place.

• Convey account-level risks and insights to management.

• Create and analyze collections reports to assess performance trends and progress towards targets.

• Work together with team members to achieve both individual and departmental performance goals.

• Conduct inbound and outbound calls in English with US-based clients.

• Manage multiple tasks and apply time-blocking techniques while scheduling around US time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Collections Specialist or in a comparable role.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is crucial for effective communication with US-based clients.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills are required.

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills are essential.

• Must adhere to a schedule that aligns with US Central or Eastern business hours.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team setting.

• Proficient in utilizing collection software.

• Experience with Salesforce, HighRadius, and WorkDay Financials is advantageous.

• A reliable high-speed internet connection is a must.

• Core working hours should align with US Central or Eastern time zones, with a minimum of 6 hours of overlap with US business hours required.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico.

• Candidates needing current or future sponsorship for employment authorization cannot be considered.
