Collections Account Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Gather overdue accounts from various business sectors.

• Rectify billing discrepancies while ensuring client account accuracy in relevant systems.

• Manage account cleansing activities, which involve payment application and reconciliation, as well as updating purchase orders and cost centers, consolidating billing, correcting invoices, updating inventory, and generating price quotes.

• Work in conjunction with agents engaged in invoicing, account upkeep, collections, and sales support.

• Address client questions and requests effectively.

• Foster communication and maintain collaborative relationships across Pitney Bowes business units.

• Organize and prioritize daily tasks to adhere to required timelines.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in the EST and CST time zones; those in the PST and MST zones are not eligible.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the US.

• The employer will not provide sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

• A minimum of 2 years of client service experience is required.

• Previous experience in collections, account management, and/or billing reconciliation is preferred.

• Demonstrated time management abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional context.

• Capability to work autonomously while prioritizing and scheduling daily tasks within a team framework.

• Excellent organizational skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others.

• Attention to detail along with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• A suitable work-from-home setup for a client-facing role.

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST / 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST.

• Credit evaluation will be part of the background screening process.
