This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Engage with customers via phone, email, and written communication regarding intricate issues, disputes, and payment arrangements.
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service.
• Oversee complex and high-value delinquent accounts to optimize recovery.
• Track, monitor, and document communications, agreements, and payment activities.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues and ensure prompt payment.
• Negotiate settlements, discounts, and extended payment terms.
• Maintain precise collection records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Report collection activities and account status to management.
• Escalate delinquent and high-risk accounts, recommending legal action when necessary.
• Analyze accounts, payment behaviors, trends, and collection performance.
• Produce collection reports and offer insights for process improvement.
• Ensure adherence to collection laws and regulations, including the FDCPA.
• Train, guide, and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 collection staff.
• Manage and enhance collection processes to recover outstanding debts while preserving positive customer relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in collections (mandatory).
• Proficiency in English and French, with a minimum level of B2/C1 (mandatory).
• Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to collections activities.
• Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles.
• Expertise in collection software, Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with collections software or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational capabilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, make sound judgments, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
