Coding Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

• Organize production through the management of monthly, weekly, and daily queues

• Allocate resources based on operational requirements

• Supervise projects, which includes planning resources, managing risks, and addressing escalations

• Evaluate quality performance, identify root causes, and implement solutions for team quality issues

• Ensure that coding adheres to productivity benchmarks

• Assist in managing employee performance in collaboration with managers and directors

• Uphold standard operating procedures within the coding department

• Work in conjunction with other areas of revenue cycle management to address coding necessities

• Investigate and address complex inquiries from coders

• Facilitate training for new hires

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA is mandatory, such as CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P

• Preferred five to seven years of experience in medical coding, billing, and management

• Experience with anesthesia/surgical coding is a plus

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees and clients at all levels

• Capacity to thrive in a collaborative setting

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Technical and functional expertise in the healthcare industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Excel

• Excellent organizational abilities

• Capability to analyze situations and solve problems
