Coding Education Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Assess documentation utilizing coding and clinical knowledge to guarantee coding specificity and precision.

• Offer support and training to coders, healthcare providers, medical assistants, practice managers, and ancillary personnel.

• Instruct staff on best practices for clinical documentation and accurate coding.

• Work remotely and travel within the regions served by BHMG.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Professional (CCP), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P), or an equivalent certification from AAPC, AHIMA, or another recognized professional organization.

• A minimum of 2 years in an educational role is preferred.

• Clinical experience is an advantage.

• Residency in Kentucky or Indiana.

• Capability to work remotely and travel within the areas served by BHMG.

• Self-driven, adaptable, and a confident speaker.
