This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and execute a thorough coalition engagement strategy in collaboration with Gordian leadership and the Government and Regulatory Affairs team.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize external political affiliations, trade organizations, advocacy groups, and stakeholder networks.
• Act as a representative for Gordian to significant coalitions, associations, and stakeholder groups.
• Pursue positions on relevant committees and working groups.
• Establish and nurture relationships with coalition political and executive leadership.
• Provide updates and strategic advice to senior company leadership.
• Prepare briefings and reports for executive-level audiences.
• Facilitate internal decision-making regarding coalition participation, policy stances, and stakeholder partnerships.
• Lead the annual coalition planning and strategy review process.
• Ensure alignment across business units and external-facing teams.
• Monitor political, legislative, regulatory, and industry developments that influence company strategy and coalition priorities.
• Define success metrics and track coalition performance, outcomes, and return on investment.
• Oversee stakeholder engagement campaigns to successful conclusions.
• Promote policy, regulatory, and business objectives through coalition activities.
• Enhance organizational influence and visibility within key stakeholder communities.
• Identify and manage emerging stakeholder opportunities and risks.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience in working with trade associations, political organizations, advocacy groups, or industry coalitions.
• Proven experience in developing and managing external stakeholder or coalition strategies.
• Strong knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and political processes.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior external stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and coordinate efforts across various internal and external stakeholders.
• Unquestionable integrity and values.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Experience in coalition engagement is essential.
• Familiarity with legislative, regulatory, or government procurement processes is preferred.
• Experience with contractor or labor organizations is a plus.
