This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +31 more states.
• Create and implement a strategic sales approach centered on CMMC compliance and cybersecurity services.
• Locate, engage, and secure new business opportunities within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
• Act as a trusted advisor regarding CMMC requirements, assessment readiness, and Department of Defense (DoD) security expectations.
• Facilitate discovery discussions and develop solution proposals.
• Oversee the entire sales process from initial contact to contract finalization.
• Collaborate with internal teams in cybersecurity, compliance, and project delivery to ensure smooth transitions for customers.
• Keep precise updates and forecasts in CRM systems regarding the sales pipeline.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars.
• Stay informed about CMMC regulations, DFARS requirements, and DoD cybersecurity initiatives.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in cybersecurity, technology, or managed services.
• At least 5 years of business development experience within the DIB and/or a broad network of defense contractors.
• Proven track record of securing new business and driving revenue growth.
• Strong consultative sales capabilities with the ability to comprehend customer needs and present appropriate solutions.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800‑171, DFARS, or similar frameworks.
• Proficient in CRM software such as Dynamics or HubSpot.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in using lead generation tools such as ZoomInfo.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A comprehensive understanding of the DoD ecosystem, with military veteran or defense sector experience considered a bonus.
• Background in cybersecurity consulting or compliance services is a plus.
• Familiarity with RPOs, C3PAOs, certification bodies, and the CMMC ecosystem is advantageous.
• Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the specified states before employment.
