Cloud/DevOps Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS network, IAM, compute, storage, data, logging, and security services utilizing Terraform and Ansible.

• Manage version-control, review, testing, state-management, secrets-management, approval, deployment, rollback, and change-audit processes for infrastructure as code.

• Create and uphold CI/CD pipelines for assessment infrastructure while integrating security scanning.

• Evaluate AWS, CI/CD, container, registry, Kubernetes, and IaC configurations for potential vulnerabilities.

• Confirm privilege escalation, lateral movement, supply-chain, and data-exposure paths within authorized limits.

• Test Kubernetes/EKS governance, service-account privilege escalation, and container breakout vectors.

• Examine IaC misconfigurations by leveraging tfsec/Checkov findings.

• Strengthen and monitor assessment infrastructure while facilitating scanning, reconnaissance, controlled exploitation, and rapid response.

• Develop automation, APIs, and operational tools using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

• Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, module documentation, and recovery procedures.

• Collaborate with Attack Surface Testing engineers and customer platform owners to resolve issues, manage costs and performance, and provide secure, repeatable capabilities.

• Offer continual technical assessment support for proactive testing of both externally and internally visible federal cyber assets.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information and be capable of obtaining a Public Trust fitness determination (High Risk).

• Ability to operate in customer-provided remote environments and adhere to customer tools, rules of engagement, data-handling requirements, evidence controls, deconfliction procedures, and stop-work criteria.

• A minimum of five years of experience in cloud, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or cloud security.

• At least three years of hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Advanced practical expertise with Terraform and Ansible in version-controlled production settings.

• Comprehensive knowledge of AWS IAM, VPC/networking, EC2/compute, S3/storage, KMS, CloudTrail/logging, serverless, container, and data-service security.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and container ecosystems such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and ECR or similar tools.

• Familiarity with Checkov/tfsec, Trivy/Grype, Prowler/ScoutSuite, Semgrep, SAST/DAST, secrets scanning, and cloud-native security services.

• Strong skills in Linux, networking, Git, and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
