This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee, troubleshoot, and enhance containerized applications and infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack

• Act as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure technologies, advanced Linux/CentOS administration, Docker/containers, and intricate networking

• Analyze and resolve complex, high-severity customer issues across the entire cloud stack

• Determine root causes and implement effective, long-lasting solutions for customer incidents

• Prepare and execute Root Cause Analysis for critical incidents

• Design, test, and maintain automation scripts using Python and Ansible

• Identify opportunities for automation to minimize manual maintenance and deployment efforts

• Provide comprehensive Escalation, Monitoring, and Emergency support as a final point of escalation

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver customized technical solutions

• Keep abreast of best practices in cloud and containerization, as well as emerging technologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and proven hands-on experience in Linux administration

• Strong understanding of core networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, and firewalls, within a cloud environment

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration, OpenStack platforms, and Docker/containerization

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and an analytical approach to complex challenges

• Proficient in Python scripting for task automation and system management

• Practical experience with Ansible for configuration management

• Expertise in preparing and conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)

• Demonstrated experience with EME (Escalation, Monitoring, and Emergency) management processes

• One or more of the following certifications is considered an advantage: Red Hat Certified Specialist in Cloud Infrastructure (EX210), Red Hat Certified Engineer in Red Hat OpenStack (EX310), RHCSA, RHCE, CKA, EX280, or EX380
